Description

This is the Prolux PXC-612C4G-A-POC 4MP HD-CVI Power Over Coax Camera with a built-in microphone. This Dome Turret Camera has a 2.8 mm Fixed Lens giving an 89.5° viewing angle. With its POC capability, it means no extra cable is needed for power! But, the PoC is compatible with Prolux & Dahua DVR/XVR.

POC Power over Coax technology

This Prolux PXC-612C4G-A-POC camera is able to produce a night vision recording over coax cable with no power cable.

HDCVI technology supports 4 signals to be transmitted over 1 coaxial cable simultaneously, i.e. video, audio* & power. Dual-way data transmission allows the HDCVI camera to interact with the XVR, such as sending a control signal or triggering an alarm. Moreover, HDCVI technology supports PoC for construction flexibility.

Night Vision & Infrared Technology

With the world-leading STARVIS sensor, the Prolux PXC-612C4G-A-POC is able to produce a clear night vision image.

This dome camera comes with EXIR infrared array technology with up to 50m Smart IR illumination. As a result, it provides industry-leading illumination in any low or zero-light environment.

The PXC-612C4G-A-POC camera benefits from an advanced, highly efficient light source that provides up to 30% more illumination efficiency compared to other LEDs. Therefore, it is a revolutionary lens for uniform scene illumination and seamless HD formatting.

Certainly, EXIR cameras deliver the most advanced levels of night-time surveillance available on the market today.

Waterproof

Prolux 4MP POC Camera is rated IP67. As a result, you don’t need to worry about dust or water damage to the Prolux PXC-612C4G-A-POC 4MP camera. Combined with a full aluminium body, these cameras are designed to last many years. The unit can be dropped into a body of water up to a meter deep for half an hour with no damage. In conclusion, you don’t have to worry about water damage.

CCTV Lens Guide

What lens type is best for you

Unless selecting a vari-focal camera (with an adjustable lens) It is important to select the correct camera lens option for where the camera is to be positioned. A smaller lens will give you a wider angle but will be “zoomed out more”, while a bigger lens will narrow the angle down and “zoom in more”. See below to give you some idea on angles of Megapixel HD Cameras:

Lens in mm Approx Viewing Angle (degrees) Ideal Distance (metres) Typical usage/notes
2.8 106 <6 For seeing as much of the immediate area as possible such as above a doorway/low down/garage soffits (edges can appear slightly warped/distorted) – clearly “zoomed out”
3.6/4 83-90 <12 A great general-purpose option giving great coverage still in the corner of a room or higher up on second-floor soffits with less distortion – more of a natural “zoom”
6 56 6-20 Narrows down the angle and zooms in to look past the immediate area a little to gain more detail – down a driveway for example from higher up
12 24 20+ Zooms in significantly more to look at a gate, entrance or adjacent building
16 19 24+ As above but more so
